To start, grab the Fetch shortcuts file for the SI Photo FTP sites. Once you've downloaded it, open it up in Fetch, and you should see the following two shortcuts:

There are two shortcuts; which you click on depends on the type of files that you are going to send to us. For TIFF (or RAW) files, use the first shortcut, SI Tiff; for JPEG files, use the second shortcut, SI Jpeg.
Clicking on the SI Tiff shortcut will open up the SI FTP server into the siedit directory. (You can see this in the pulldown menu at the top center of the Fetch window.)

You will want to create a folder on your desktop with the date and your last name, and put all of the TIFF or RAW files into the folder. (Since TIFF and RAW files don't contain any embedded caption information, they all must be moved to SI Photo within a folder. If they aren't, then we have no way to know who shot them, and you won't get any credit for your photos.)

Next, drag your folder into the open Fetch window; the folder (and all the files within it) will transfer to the SI Photo FTP server.

At this point, our automated process takes over, and your images are captioned and entered into our database for use.
Clicking on the SI Jpeg shortcut will open up the SI FTP server into the siguest directory. (You can see this in the pulldown menu at the top center of the Fetch window.)

Next, create a folder on your desktop that contains all of your JPEG images.

Once all the files are in the same folder, you need to highlight all of the files (easiest done by pressing Apple-A on your keyboard), and then drag them into the open Fetch window. (Note: don't drag the folder itself, but rather, the files within it!)

At this point, our automated process takes over, and your images are entered into our database for use. You may notice them disappearing from the siguest folder; that's normal.
